Greetings from the Organizing Committee of APSICON 2022, Amritsar.

We are delighted to welcome you all to the 56th annual conference of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India APSICON 2022 being held at Amritsar from 9th to 13th November 2022. APSICON is going to happen in physical form after a gap of 3 years and the organizing committee is all geared up to make the first ever APSICON at Amritsar, a memorable one.

The Organizing Committee is working really hard to put together an educational and scientific programme which will be an academic extravaganza packaged with cuisine to tantalize your taste buds and complete cultural fest. The conference will be held at exquisite Guru Nanak Dev University campus which boasts of state of the art newly built auditorium complex against the backdrop of its lush green lawns and play grounds.

This will be for the first time that ISAPS symposium will be part of APSICON with renowned International and National Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons teaching us the nuances of aesthetic surgery as part of APSI CME programme. In addition, there will be renowned International and National faculty catering to all the subspecialties of plastic surgery.

Punjab is known for its hospitality and Amritsar is the torchbearer of the state. Its rich heritage and cultural traditions you have seen in countless movies. Now come and witness the splendour of Golden temple, Wagah Border Parade, Gobindgarh fort, Punjabi folk dance, traditional handicraft and elegant local products.

Amritsar, historically also known as Rāmdāspur and colloquially as Ambarsar, is the second largest city in the Indian state of Punjab, after Ludhiana. It is a major cultural and economic centre located in the Majha region of Punjab. The city is the administrative headquarters of the Amritsar district.
According to the 2011 census, the population of Amritsar was 1,132,761. It is one of the ten Municipal Corporations in the state, and Karamjit Singh Rintu is the current mayor of the city. The city is situated 217 km northwest of state capital Chandigarh, 455 km northwest of New Delhi, the national capital, and 47 km northeast of Lahore, Pakistan, with the Indo-Pak Border (Wagah) being only 28 km away.
Amritsar has been chosen as one of the heritage cities for HRIDAY scheme of the Government of India. Amritsar is home to Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as "the Golden Temple," one of Sikhism's most spiritually significant and most-visited gurudwaras. The city is also known for its wooden chessboards and chess pieces manufacturing industry.
